ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1220P Intel Core i3-1220P NUC Mini PC with 2x 2.5GbE and Quad Display

An office or kiosk refresh often calls for many identical small computers with modern networking and enough cores to stay responsive for years. The ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1220P is the entry model of the NUC 1200 BOX range, an industrial mini PC that brings a 12th Gen Intel Core i3, two 2.5GbE ports and Wi-Fi 6E into a 110 x 117.5 x 47.85 mm case.

The NUC BOX-1220P uses an Intel Core i3-1220P, an Alder Lake-P processor with two Performance-cores and eight Efficient-cores, so background tasks such as updates and logging run on the efficient cores while the user session stays on the faster ones. Intel UHD Graphics drive the displays. Two SO-DIMM sockets take dual-channel DDR4-3200 up to 64 GB, and an M.2 Key M slot with PCIe Gen4 x4 takes an NVMe SSD in 2242, 2260 or 2280 length, with a SATA3 port for a second drive. TPM 2.0 is on board.

Networking is two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I225LM controllers, which lets one port carry the corporate network while the other serves cameras, printers or test equipment. The rear also has HDMI 2.0b, DP 1.4a and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. On the front are a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, an audio jack and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports with DP 1.4a, giving four displays at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. An M.2 Key E slot holds a Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 module, and power enters through a 12 to 19 V DC jack.

The NUC BOX-1220P is fan-cooled and rated for 0 °C to 40 °C, so it suits offices, retail and light production areas with normal ventilation. ASRock Industrial lists CE and FCC Class A compliance and Windows 10 and 11 support, with a VESA bracket supplied. The NUC BOX-1240P and NUC BOX-1260P are the Core i5 and Core i7 versions of this industrial mini PC.
