ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1260P Intel Core i7-1260P 12th Gen NUC Mini PC with 2x 2.5GbE and Dual USB-C

Control rooms that pull camera feeds, process data and display results on several screens need the most compute that a small box can hold. The ASRock Industrial NUC BOX-1260P answers with the Core i7 model of the NUC 1200 BOX range, an industrial mini PC that combines a 12-core Alder Lake-P processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics and two 2.5GbE ports in a 110 x 117.5 x 47.85 mm case.

The Intel Core i7-1260P inside the NUC BOX-1260P has four Performance-cores and eight Efficient-cores, which suits analytics, video handling and several virtual desktops running at once. Intel Iris Xe graphics decode and drive 4K content across all four outputs. Two SO-DIMM sockets accept dual-channel DDR4-3200 up to 64 GB, and storage is an M.2 Key M slot with PCIe Gen4 x4 for a fast NVMe SSD plus a SATA3 port for bulk data. TPM 2.0 is on board for encrypted drives.

On the rear, two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I225LM controllers allow a camera or equipment network to stay separate from the corporate LAN, alongside HDMI 2.0b, DP 1.4a and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports. The front adds a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, an audio jack and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports with DP 1.4a, for four 4K screens in total. An M.2 Key E slot carries a Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 module, and the 12 to 19 V DC jack runs from the supplied 19 V, 90 W adapter.

The NUC BOX-1260P is fan-cooled and rated for 0 °C to 40 °C, so this industrial mini PC suits ventilated control rooms, offices and signage cabinets rather than the plant floor. ASRock Industrial lists CE and FCC Class A compliance and Windows 10 and 11 support. The NUC BOX-1240P is the Core i5 version, and the NUC BOX-1360P/D5 moves to a 13th Gen Core i7 with DDR5 and USB4.
