Avalue EMX-MTLP-125H-A1R Intel Core Ultra 5 125H (Meteor Lake) Thin Mini-ITX SBC with 12 to 24 V DC Input and Dual 2.5GbE

An inspection station that grabs frames from several cameras, runs a vision model and writes every image to disk needs sustained CPU and storage throughput more than a low power figure. The EMX-MTLP-125H-A1R is the 28 W build in the Avalue EMX-MTLP series of Thin Mini-ITX SBCs, using the 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 125H with an active CPU cooler.

The Core Ultra 5 125H is a Meteor Lake processor with 14 cores, 18 threads and a 28 W TDP, two more cores and four more threads than the 125U, rated at 11 TOPS of AI performance for inference beside the CPU. Two DDR5 5600 MHz SO-DIMM slots take up to 64 GB for image buffers. Intel Xe LPG graphics drives two HDMI 2.0 outputs, DisplayPort 1.4a at up to 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz, a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and internal eDP and LVDS connectors, up to four independent displays.

Two M.2 M-key slots take PCIe x4 NVMe SSDs, with Intel VMD RAID 0 for throughput or RAID 1 for redundancy, and two SATA ports add bulk storage. A PCIe x8 slot with x4 Gen 4 signal takes a frame grabber or PoE card. Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226LM and I226V controllers connect cameras and the plant network, and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two Gen 1 Type-A ports suit USB3 cameras. Six COM headers, 16-bit DIO, an M.2 B-key for 4G or GNSS and an M.2 E-key for Wi-Fi complete the I/O.

The EMX-MTLP-125H-A1R runs from 12 to 24 V DC with AT or ATX power modes and operates from 0 to 50 °C with 0.5 m/s airflow, with TPM 2.0 and CE, FCC and RoHS compliance. For a sealed enclosure without a fan, the EMX-MTLP-125U-A1R uses the 12-core Core Ultra 5 125U at 15 W with a heatsink and a 0 to 55 °C rating.
