DFI ASL553-TN-x7433RE Intel Amston Lake Atom x7433RE 3.5″ Embedded Board with 9 to 36 V DC Input and -40 to 85 °C

Outdoor kiosks, EV chargers and ticketing units rarely do one thing: a touch interface, access control, remote monitoring and a cellular link all share the same board. Four cores give each job room. The ASL553-TN-x7433RE is the quad-core option in the ASL553 series, a 3.5″ embedded board rated from -40 to 85 °C for enclosures that see the weather.

The Intel Atom x7433RE is a quad-core Amston Lake processor running from 1.5 to 3.4 GHz within a 9 W TDP, the same power as the dual-core x7213RE. That makes it an efficient step up for mixed workloads. One DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM slot takes up to 16 GB, and Intel UHD Graphics decodes HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware for video content. DFI lists Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11 and Linux, with a discrete TPM 2.0 for secure boot and encrypted storage.

Three 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226IT controllers sit on the rear with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, HDMI up to 4096 x 2160 and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode. The internal dual-channel LVDS connector drives a panel up to 1920 x 1200. Inside are two USB 2.0 headers, one RS-232/422/485 port, 8-bit DIO, one SATA 3.0 port and M.2 sockets for an SSD, a 4G or 5G modem with SIM slot and Wi-Fi.

The ASL553-TN-x7433RE runs fanless on 9 to 36 V DC through a 4-pin or barrel connector, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. For a higher base clock with two cores, see the ASL553-TN-x7213RE.
