DFI CMS310-Q470ENRM Intel Comet Lake Core Micro-ATX Embedded Motherboard with Q470E Chipset, Dual LAN and Four Expansion Slots

Test benches and inspection stations often need a GPU and a frame grabber on one board, while the budget calls for a mainstream processor rather than a Xeon. The CMS310-Q470ENRM is the Q470E build of the CMS310 series, a Micro-ATX embedded motherboard with four PCIe Gen3 slots and an LGA1200 socket for 10th Gen Intel Core (Comet Lake).

The socket takes Core i3, i5, i7 and i9 processors, from the four-core i3-10100TE at 35 W to the 10-core i9-10900E at 65 W, plus the Pentium G6400E and the Celeron G5900E and G5900TE for cost-sensitive builds, with DFI rating the socket up to 125 W. Four DDR4 2933 MHz DIMM slots take up to 128 GB of non-ECC memory. Intel UHD Graphics drives three independent displays through DP++, HDMI and VGA, with hardware encode and decode for H.264 and H.265, and Intel AMT supports remote management on Core i5, i7 and i9.

Expansion matches the rest of the series: two PCIe x16 Gen3 slots, x16 or x8/x8, and two PCIe x4 Gen3 slots. An M.2 M-key socket takes a PCIe x4 NVMe or SATA SSD, four SATA 3.0 ports support RAID, and an M.2 E-key socket takes Wi-Fi. Two GbE ports on Intel I219LM and I210AT controllers sit on the rear panel with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and four GbE are available by request. Internal headers carry two USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 2.0, two RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports and 16-bit digital I/O.

The CMS310-Q470ENRM runs from a standard ATX supply over 24-pin and 8-pin connectors across -5 to 65 °C with an active CPU cooler, and carries CE, FCC, UKCA, UL and RoHS compliance, optional TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer. For Xeon W-1200E processors and ECC memory, choose the CMS310-W480ENRM.
