FCCCS100-C246DRM Overview
An edge server on a factory network, a historian logging process data or a gateway holding certificates needs both error-corrected memory and somewhere safe to keep its keys. The CS100-C246DRM is the C246 build with a discrete TPM 2.0 in the DFI CS100 series of industrial Mini-ITX motherboards, and it combines Xeon E and ECC support with the TPM.
The LGA1151 socket takes the six-core Intel Xeon E-2176G at 80 W, 8th and 9th Gen Core i7, i5 and i3 processors in E, TE and standard versions, and the Pentium G5400 and Celeron G4900. ECC DDR4 works with the Xeon, the Core i3-8100, Pentium and Celeron; Core i5 and i7 run non-ECC memory. Two SO-DIMMs at 2400/2666 MHz hold up to 32 GB, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives LVDS, VGA and two DP++ outputs.
Intel AMT runs on the I219LM GbE port with a Core i5 or i7, and a second GbE port on an Intel I210AT serves a separate network. The rear panel has two USB 3.1 Gen 2, two Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports and an RS-232 DB9 port; inside are a second RS-232 header, 8-bit DIO and a full-size Mini PCIe socket that also takes mSATA. Three SATA 3.0 ports and a PCIe x16 Gen3 slot suit a RAID controller or network card.
The CS100-C246DRM runs from a 24-pin and 4-pin ATX supply and operates from 0 to 60 °C, with CE, FCC, UKCA, KC and RoHS compliance. CS100-C246D is the same C246 board without the TPM, and CS100-Q370DRM keeps the TPM and AMT for Core processors without ECC.
