DFI CS350-C246NRM Intel 8th and 9th Gen Core Micro-ATX Industrial Motherboard with C246 Chipset, Dual LAN and Four Expansion Slots

An inspection server that stores every image for traceability, or a test system that must not drop a result, benefits from a Xeon processor and ECC memory, even when it sits in a warm machine enclosure. The CS350-C246NRM is the C246 build of the CS350 series, a Micro-ATX industrial motherboard that adds Xeon E and ECC to four PCIe Gen3 slots and a -5 to 65 °C rating.

The LGA1151 socket takes the four-core Xeon E-2124G at 71 W, the six-core E-2176G and E-2226GE at 80 W, and the eight-core E-2278GE at 80 W or E-2278GEL at 35 W, alongside 8th and 9th Gen Core i3, i5 and i7, Pentium G5400 and Celeron G4900. Four DDR4 2666 MHz DIMM slots take up to 128 GB, with ECC on Xeon E, Core i3, Pentium and Celeron. Intel UHD Graphics drives DP++, HDMI 1.4b and DVI-D as three displays, and Intel AMT works with Xeon, Core i5 and i7.

Expansion is two PCIe x16 slots, running as one x16 or two x8, and two PCIe x4 Gen3 slots. Storage covers an M.2 M-key socket for PCIe x4 Gen3 NVMe SSDs and six SATA 3.0 ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, and an M.2 E-key socket takes Wi-Fi. The rear panel has two USB 3.1 Gen 2, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two GbE ports and an RS-232/422/485 DB-9, and headers add six USB ports, three COM ports and 8-bit digital I/O.

The CS350-C246NRM runs from a standard ATX supply over 24-pin and 8-pin connectors, with an active CPU cooler, from -5 to 65 °C, and carries CE, FCC and RoHS compliance. Where Core processors are enough and TPM 2.0 matters more than ECC, the CS350-Q370NRM keeps the same slots, storage and temperature rating on the Q370 chipset.
