DFI HPT193-CB-8845HS AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS Mini-ITX Embedded Motherboard with Dual 2.5GbE and Quad Display

A control-room console or video wall controller has to keep four 4K screens live while it runs the SCADA client, camera views and dashboards behind them. The HPT193-CB-8845HS is the eight-core, 45 W build in the DFI HPT193 series of industrial Mini-ITX motherboards, and it pairs the most processing in the range with the larger Radeon 780M GPU.

Its AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS (Hawk Point) has eight cores and 16 threads at 3.8 GHz base and up to 5.1 GHz boost, with a 45 W TDP that DFI lists as configurable from 35 to 54 W. Radeon 780M graphics with RDNA3 cores can handle several video streams across the displays. Two DDR5 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 96 GB at 4800 MHz, and ECC memory support helps a system that runs for months between restarts.

Four DP++ outputs each run at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, so every screen connects natively. Two Intel I226 2.5GbE ports can keep the plant network apart from the office or camera network. Rear USB is two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, with five USB 2.0 ports inside, and serial is RS-232 and RS-232/422/485 on DB9 plus two TTL and two ccTalk headers, with 8-bit DIO. A PCIe x16 slot with eight Gen4 lanes takes a capture or network card, and an M.2 2280 socket for PCIe Gen4 x4 or SATA storage sits beside two SATA ports.

The HPT193-CB-8845HS runs from 12 to 24 V DC on a 4-pin connector, with a DC jack on request, and operates from -5 to 65 °C, with CE, FCC and RoHS compliance and a TPM 2.0.
