DFI PCSF51-BN-86R254 AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 Femto-ITX Single Board Computer with 8GB DDR4 Memory and 64GB eMMC

Signage with animated menus, 3D product views or a rich browser interface leans on the GPU more than the processor, and a small player behind a screen still has to render it smoothly. The PCSF51-BN-86R254 is the build with the strongest graphics in the DFI PCSF51 series, a Femto-ITX single board computer that suits 4K signage, kiosks and HMIs with demanding user interfaces.

Its AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 runs at 2.1 GHz with a 12 W TDP, and its AMD Radeon Vega graphics have eight compute units, against six on the R2314 and three on the R2312. Hardware encode and decode of H.265 and decode of VP9 keep video off the processor. Memory is 8 GB of single-channel DDR4 at 2667 MHz soldered to the board, with 64 GB of eMMC for the operating system and media. DFI lists Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit, Linux and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, and a firmware TPM 2.0 is fitted.

The HDMI 1.4b output supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz. One GbE port on an Intel I210AT controller fetches content, and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports connect a touch controller, camera or storage. An M.2 E-key socket with PCIe x1 and USB 2.0 takes a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module, and 8-bit DIO on an internal header reads sensors or switches relays.

The PCSF51-BN-86R254 runs from 12 V DC on a terminal block, cools through a passive heatsink and operates from 0 to 60 °C, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. The PCSF51-BN-86R234 keeps 8 GB with six compute units on the R2314, and the PCSF51-EN-46R232 suits sites that need -20 to 70 °C operation.
