DFI PCSF51-EN-46R232 AMD Ryzen Embedded R2312 Femto-ITX Single Board Computer with 4GB DDR4 Memory and -20 to 70 °C

Parking terminals, outdoor information points and roadside cabinets can drop below freezing overnight and run well above room temperature in summer. The PCSF51-EN-46R232 is the wide temperature build of the DFI PCSF51 series, a Femto-ITX single board computer rated from -20 to 70 °C, so the same compact board can serve outdoor and unheated installations.

Its AMD Ryzen Embedded R2312 runs at 2.7 GHz with a 12 W TDP, and AMD Radeon Vega graphics with three compute units handle the screen and video, with hardware H.265 encode and decode and VP9 decode. The 4 GB of single-channel DDR4 at 2400 MHz and the 64 GB eMMC are soldered to the board, so there are no sockets to suffer under temperature cycling. DFI lists Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit, Linux and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS support, and a firmware TPM 2.0 is fitted.

One GbE port on an Intel I210AT controller connects to the site network, and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports take a card reader, camera or modem. Where a cable run is not practical, an M.2 E-key socket with PCIe x1 and USB 2.0 can take a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module. The HDMI 1.4b output runs at up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz, and 8-bit DIO reads a door switch or drives a relay.

Power is 12 V DC on a terminal block, and cooling is a passive heatsink with no fan to clog in a dusty cabinet. The PCSF51-EN-46R232 carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. For indoor equipment, the PCSF51-BN-46R232 is the same build at 0 to 60 °C, and the PCSF51-BN-86R254 offers eight compute units and 8 GB for graphics-heavy signage.
