RPP173-IE-1365UE Overview
An autonomous mobile robot or an inspection vehicle carries several cameras, a navigation stack and a data logger, and it powers them from a battery whose voltage moves with the charge. The RPP173-IE-1365UE is the Core i7 build in the DFI RPP173 series of Mini-ITX SBCs, and it takes that supply directly on a 9 to 36 V DC input.
The Intel Core i7-1365UE (13th Gen Raptor Lake) has ten cores at up to 4.9 GHz, 12 MB cache, a TDP of up to 28 W and Intel vPro. Two DDR5 5200 MHz SO-DIMMs take up to 64 GB in dual channel, enough for mapping data and image buffers. Intel Iris Xe Graphics drives two DP++ outputs at up to 4096 x 2304 and 60 Hz and a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode for a service or operator screen.
Three 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226V and I226LM controllers connect GigE cameras, a lidar or a vehicle network and an uplink on separate interfaces. Four rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, four internal USB 2.0 headers, four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, two RS-232) and 8-bit DIO handle motor controllers and sensors. An M.2 M-key runs NVMe at PCIe Gen4 x4 for recording, the B-key takes a cellular module with its SIM slot, the E-key takes Wi-Fi, and a PCIe x4 Gen4 slot accepts a capture or CAN card.
The RPP173-IE-1365UE operates from -20 to 70 °C with its active cooler, a wide temperature range for depots and vehicle bays, and carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. The RPP173-IE-1345UE keeps ten cores and the same range at up to 4.6 GHz, and RPP173-IB-1315UE is the six-core option for indoor machines. For a regulated 12 V supply, see the RPP171 series.
