Diamond Systems Jackson carrier boards offer a cost-effective, efficient, and input/output-rich solution for NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX modules for GPU applications at the edge. It provides access to all I/O from the modules through I/O connectors or expansion sockets. Additionally, two quad-lane CSI camera connectors are included, allowing for increased performance during image processing tasks due to the embedded features of Orin series. The JAX-BB01 Ruggedized NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano/Orin NX Carrier Board includes dual LAN, four USB, two serial, CAN, GPIO, and HDMI as standard.

The I/O expansion connector on the JAX-ASY-ONX16 allows users to customize their Rugged Jetson Orin Nano Carrier Board using cost-efficient daughterboards that attach directly to the Jackson carrier board. Through the connector, PCIe, USB3, I2C, and power are all accessible through a flex circuit cable. Additionally, daughterboard designs can add extra Ethernet and USB ports, M.2 and minicard sockets, and a variety of other options such as Ethernet switches and PoE PD circuitry.

The M.2 M key socket onboard the Jackson JAX-ASY-ONX16 supports NVMe PCIe x4 connectivity and is generally used for mass storage, since the Orin Nano and Orin NX modules lack integrated eMMC mass storage. The socket supports both 2242 and 2280 size modules, and all mounting hardware is included. A full-size minicard socket provides both PCIe and USB interfaces to support a wide range of I/O modules including analog, digital, serial, Ethernet, WiFi, and Bluetooth. An M.2 E key 2230 socket supports the installation of modem, WiFi, and Bluetooth modules for mobile applications.
