Headless gateways and embedded analytics units sit inside machines and cabinets where nobody presses a button, yet they still have to run vision models across many streams. Forecr builds the DSBOX-NX2-AA for those installs, from production lines to remote equipment cabinets: the standard industrial I/O model in the DSBOX-NX2 series, a fanless embedded PC built on the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX.
The Jetson Xavier NX pairs a six-core NVIDIA Carmel Arm v8.2 64-bit CPU with an NVIDIA Volta GPU with 48 Tensor Cores and 8 GB of 128-bit LPDDR4x memory. Rated at 21 TOPS, it runs deep neural networks and processes up to 32 Full-HD video streams with the DeepStream SDK, all under 18 W on Ubuntu Linux 18.04, which keeps heat and power budgets small in sealed cabinets.
The DSBOX-NX2-AA connects through one Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one CAN Bus port, a software-configurable RS-232/422/485 port and 2-in/3-out digital I/O, with an HDMI 2.0 output for 4K display at 3840 x 2160. Storage combines 16 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash, a MicroSD slot and an M.2 Key-M SSD socket, while M.2 Key-E and Key-B sockets take WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE or 5G modules, with a SIM slot for the cellular module on Key-B. Input power is 9-28 VDC.
Forecr rates the DSBOX-NX2-AA from -25°C to +65°C ambient in a fanless 110 x 130 x 60 mm enclosure designed for 24/7 operation. This fanless embedded PC suits predictive maintenance, quality control and object recognition in size and power constrained systems across industrial environments. For attended installs, the DSBOX-NX2-XX-P adds the power button option while keeping the same compute and I/O.
