Forecr DSBOX-ORNX-LAN-AB16 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB Wide-Temperature Industrial Embedded Computer with Dual LAN

Smart city and robotics projects that fuse several camera streams need memory for multiple models and a clean path from the camera network to wherever the results go. The DSBOX-ORNX-LAN-AB16 combines both, carrying the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB in a wide-temperature industrial embedded computer from the Forecr DSBOX-ORNX-LAN series.

The Orin NX 16GB module brings NVIDIA Ampere GPU cores, Arm64 CPU cores and 16 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5, and it is the module behind the 100 TOPS of AI performance quoted for the series. That memory lets the DSBOX-ORNX-LAN-AB16 keep detection, tracking and classification models resident together across several streams. Ubuntu Linux 20.04 and JetPack 5.1 are supported.

Connectivity on the DSBOX-ORNX-LAN-AB16 covers two Gigabit Ethernet ports, the second on its own PCIe-to-Ethernet controller, three USB 3.1 Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.0 output at up to 3840 x 2160, one CAN bus port, one RS232 and one RS422 port, and two digital inputs with two digital outputs. One Type-C port also serves for recovery. Two M.2 Key-M slots take SSD storage, a 2280 socket on four PCIe lanes and a 2230 socket, while an M.2 Key-E socket adds WiFi and Bluetooth. Power is taken from a 9-28 VDC input suited to vehicle and panel supplies.

Forecr specifies an aluminium enclosure that dissipates heat and protects against dust, shock and vibration, and the module runs without a fan across a -25°C to +85°C ambient range. The industrial embedded computer measures 110 x 130 x 60 mm and weighs 765 g. Where 8 GB is enough, the DSBOX-ORNX-LAN-AB8 uses the Orin NX 8GB, and the DSBOX-ORNX-LAN-AA leaves the module choice open.
