Many defence and security programmes need SDI video analysed at the edge without sizing the AI module beyond what the model requires. The MILBOX-AGX-SDI-32S is the 32GB tactical computer in the Forecr MILBOX-AGX-SDI series, combining the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB module with the full SDI front end and rugged I/O of the range.
The Jetson AGX Orin 32GB provides 32GB of 256-bit LPDDR5x memory for object detection, tracking and video analytics on up to four SDI feeds. The BNC inputs connect existing SDI cameras directly, so no separate capture unit is needed between camera and computer. Forecr also builds the same four rear coax positions with 4x GMSL2 camera inputs, 4x analog video or 2x HD-SDI with 2x analog in place of the four SDI inputs. Software support covers Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04 with JetPack 5.x or 6.x, and the standard module is rated from -25°C to +70°C ambient.
Beyond video, the MILBOX-AGX-SDI-32S provides four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one USB 3.1 port, two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 2.0 serial console, two CAN bus ports, four RS-232 ports and four RS-422 ports, plus one HDMI output for a local display. Storage uses 64GB of eMMC 5.1 flash and an SD card slot, with the single M.2 Key-M 2280 socket listed as occupied on the datasheet. Power comes from a 12-36 VDC input with a 28 VDC nominal rating, which suits the supplies found on military vehicles and aircraft.
Forecr designed the MILBOX-AGX-SDI-32S enclosure to meet MIL-STD-1275/704, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and IP67, and the fanless tactical computer measures 30 x 24 x 10 cm at 5.3 kg. Humidity is rated from 5% to 95% non-condensing. Where the workload grows to several concurrent models, the MILBOX-AGX-SDI-64S doubles memory with the 64GB module.
