Adding AI to a military vehicle or vessel often means running several camera and sensor models at once while still talking to radios, navigation units and older control systems over serial and CAN. The MILBOX-AGX-64S is a military computer built by Forecr for that mix, carrying the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 64GB module in the sealed IP67 enclosure of the MILBOX-AGX series.
The Jetson AGX Orin 64GB brings 64GB of 256-bit LPDDR5x memory and up to 275 TOPS of AI performance, so the MILBOX-AGX-64S can hold larger neural networks and more concurrent video streams than the 32GB model. Ubuntu Linux 20.04 with JetPack 5.x provides the NVIDIA software stack, and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash holds the operating system.
Networking is 4x Gigabit Ethernet. Field I/O covers 2x CAN bus, 4x RS-232 and 4x RS-422 serial ports for vehicle buses and legacy equipment, with 1x USB 3.1, 2x USB 2.0 and a USB 2.0 serial console port. Display output is 1x HDMI, and an M.2 Key-M SSD slot adds NVMe storage for recording and data logging, with an SD card slot beside the eMMC. Power comes from a 12-36 VDC input at 28 VDC nominal, matching common military vehicle supplies.
The ruggedised enclosure, with a MIL-DTL-38999 power connector and sealed circular I/O connectors, is designed to meet MIL-STD-1275/704, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and IP67, withstanding extreme temperatures, shock and vibration, and the military computer operates from -25°C to +70°C with no wireless interface. Forecr lists defence, aerospace and marine among its target uses. Where 32GB of memory is enough, the MILBOX-AGX-32S offers the same I/O and enclosure as the MILBOX-AGX-64S with the Jetson AGX Orin 32GB.
