Giada D614 Intel Core Series 1 Digital Signage Players with Quad 4K HDMI

Menu boards, retail promotions, reception screens and small video walls often need one compact player behind several displays. The Giada D614 series is a book-size digital signage player that drives four independent 4K HDMI outputs from a single unit, so one box can run a four-screen menu board or four separate displays. It uses Intel Core Series 1 processors from the Raptor Lake-U Refresh range, at 15 W base power. Giada describes it as a Raptor Lake-U Refresh book-size signage player, and the four outputs are independent, so each screen can show its own content.

Two builds are offered. The D614-100U has the Core 3 100U with six cores and eight threads, and the D614-120U has the Core 5 120U with ten cores and 12 threads. Both use Intel Graphics with DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6 and OpenCL 3.0 support and hardware decoding of 8K HEVC and VP9 content at 60 fps. Memory is two DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM slots up to 96 GB, and an M-Key M.2 2280 slot with PCIe 4.0 x4 holds the SSD.

Each HDMI port runs at up to 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz. As an optional factory build, two HDMI ports are replaced by a DP1.4 output at up to 7680 x 4320 for an 8K screen. Other I/O covers a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two USB 2.0 ports, an RS232 port, a headset jack and one GbE port on Intel i219-LM. An E-Key M.2 slot takes an optional Wi-Fi 5, 6 or 6E card, and a B-Key M.2 3042/3052 slot with SIM takes an optional Quectel 4G or 5G module.

The D614 series runs from a 19 V DC adapter and operates from 0 °C to 45 °C at 10 to 90% humidity (non-condensing), with CE, FCC Class B and UKCA marks. A watchdog timer, auto power on and RTC wake scheduling suit screens that run unattended, TPM 2.0 is optional, and an optional VESA kit mounts the player behind a display. Giada lists Windows 11 and Ubuntu for these digital signage players. In practice these players suit retail, hospitality, corporate and transport signage indoors, wherever the screens run for long hours and are managed remotely. Both builds share the same chassis, ports and outputs, so a mixed estate can use one mounting and cabling plan.
