Neousys IGT-30D TI Sitara AM3352 IoT Gateway with Dual LAN, PoE PD and Isolated DIO

A gateway mounted next to a machine or in a remote cabinet often has a network cable nearby but no spare power supply. The Neousys IGT-30D answers that with two 10/100 LAN ports, one of which accepts IEEE 802.3at PoE+, so a single cable from a PoE switch powers the IoT gateway and carries its data. Where a DC supply is available, it also takes 12 to 25 V DC. It is the digital I/O version of the IGT-30 series.

Inside is a Texas Instruments Sitara AM3352, a single Arm Cortex-A8 core at 1 GHz, with 1 GB of DDR3L memory and Debian 9 pre-installed. That is ample for protocol conversion, local logging and pushing data to a cloud service, and Neousys lists the IGT-30D as Microsoft Azure and AWS Greengrass certified for IoT. Two microSDHC slots, one external and one internal, keep the system image and user data apart.

Field I/O is eight isolated digital inputs that accept dry contact, sinking or sourcing signals with 3750 Vrms isolation, and two isolated outputs rated at 500 mA and 24 V DC or AC. A software-configurable RS-232/422/485 port, a USB 2.0 port and an RS-232 console port sit alongside, and a full-size mini PCIe socket with an internal SIM slot takes a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi module, with two antenna holes in the top of the case.

The IGT-30D runs from -25 °C to 70 °C, with a wide temperature microSD card needed below 0 °C, is rated for 5 Grms vibration and 50 Grms shock, and meets CE and FCC Class A to EN 55032 and EN 55024. The 43 x 77 x 104 mm case clips onto a DIN rail beside breakers and terminals. The IGT-31D adds an isolated CAN bus port to the same IoT gateway, and the IGT-33V swaps the digital inputs for eight analogue voltage channels.
