Neousys POC-900 AMD Ryzen PRO 8640U Ultra-Compact DIN Rail PCs

Control cabinets fill up quickly, and the computer often has to fit the space left on the DIN rail after the PLC, power supplies and terminals are in. The Neousys POC-900 series is a family of DIN rail PCs that keeps the 64 x 116 x 176 mm footprint and DIN-rail mounting of the POC-500 and POC-700, so it can drop into existing installations, while moving to an AMD Ryzen PRO 8640U with AI acceleration. Neousys quotes up to 270% more performance than the POC-500.

The Ryzen PRO 8640U has six cores and 12 threads at 3.5 GHz base and 4.9 GHz boost, configurable from 15W to 30W, with Radeon RDNA3 graphics and a Ryzen AI NPU rated at 16 TOPS, or 31 TOPS for the whole SoC. Memory is up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 in one SODIMM socket, storage is an M.2 2280 Gen4 x4 NVMe socket, and dTPM 2.0 is supported. The front panel carries four Intel I350-AM4 GbE ports with 802.3at PoE+, four screw-lock USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two HDMI 2.0b outputs at 3840 x 2160 and 60 Hz, four COM ports, 4-channel isolated DI and DO and audio.

The series currently has one model, the POC-915. It adds a full-size mini-PCIe socket with micro SIM for wireless or extra I/O, and the MezIO interface for modules such as eight more COM ports, 32 isolated DIO channels, four GbE ports, four USB 3.1 ports or ignition power control. PoE+ has a 100 W maximum budget, or 32W where the UL-certified configuration is used.

In practice POC-900 DIN rail PCs suit machine vision, factory automation, surveillance and video analytics where a compact AMD computer can power cameras directly. An 8 to 35V DC input covers 12V and 24V systems, and a separate terminal block provides remote power control and a power LED output. Fanless operation runs from -25°C to 70°C at 15W TDP, or to 45°C at 30W, and an optional fan kit extends 30W operation to 70°C. The POC-900 series is tested to MIL-STD-810H for vibration and shock with the wall-mount kit, and carries CE/FCC Class A and UL 62368-1 and IEC 62368-1 certification.
