Neousys MezIO-D330 32-Channel Isolated DIO MezIO Module with Sink or Source Outputs
MezIO-D330 Overview
Digital I/O wiring depends on the devices at the other end. Some actuators are switched to ground, others to the supply, and a mixed machine often has both. The Neousys MezIO-D330 is a 32-channel isolated DIO module whose outputs support sink or source wiring, so a single module can follow the wiring convention already used on the machine rather than forcing a change to it.
The MezIO-D330 has 16 isolated digital inputs and 16 isolated digital outputs. Inputs are isolated to 2500 Vrms through a bidirectional photocoupler, with a rated input voltage from 0 to 24 V DC, logic high from 3.3 to 24 V DC, logic low from 0 to 1.5 V DC and a 0.68 ms response time. Outputs are isolated to 1500 Vrms, operate from 0 to 24 V DC and drive up to 250 mA sink or source current per channel. Both sides work in polling mode. Where sink-only outputs at up to 500 mA suit the job better, the MezIO-D230-50 offers the same 32-channel count.
We fit the MezIO-D330 inside the Neousys system on its high-speed board-to-board connector with three-point mezzanine mounting, then configure the I/O and test it before the system ships. There is one MezIO interface per system. The MezIO-D330 fits the Nuvo-9000 and Nuvo-11000 series, including their LP versions, the Nuvo-11160GC, and the compact POC-900, POC-700, POC-700-FT and POC-600 computers.
All 32 channels leave the system on a 68-pin SCSI-II connector. Bringing every channel out on one connector keeps the cabling at the computer to a single run, so the field wiring can land on terminal blocks in the cabinet. If you send us your I/O list with the device types and supply voltages, we can confirm the wiring for each channel before we build.
