A single add-on card often decides the build: a frame grabber for a vision cell, a fieldbus or motion card for a machine, or a capture card for an inspection station. When the same box also has to feed IP cameras or sensors, port count matters as much as the card slot. The NUVO-9006E is a rugged computer from the Neousys NUVO-9000 series that combines a single-slot PCIe Cassette with six LAN ports.
Compute comes from Intel 14th, 13th and 12th Gen Core processors on the LGA1700 socket, up to 24 cores and 32 threads, and Intel Core Series 2 (Bartlett Lake) CPUs are also supported. The Q670E chipset takes up to 128 GB of DDR5-4800 in two SODIMM slots, with vPro, AMT 16.0 and dTPM 2.0, and VGA, DVI-D and DisplayPort outputs let the NUVO-9006E drive an operator display alongside its main workload.
Networking is five Intel I226-IT/I225-IT 2.5GbE ports and one I219-LM GbE port, all with screw-lock retention and 9.5 KB jumbo frames. The PoE+ option adds 802.3at power on ports 3 to 6 with a 100 W total budget, enough for four IP cameras without a separate switch. Expansion is one PCIe x16 slot with Gen3 x8 signals inside the Cassette, with two internal SATA ports supporting RAID 0 or 1 and an M.2 Gen4 x4 NVMe socket for the OS. A 20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port with screw-lock, six USB 3.2 Type-A ports, four COM ports, mini-PCIe, an M.2 B key socket for 5G or 4G and a MezIO port for extra I/O modules complete the panel.
Power comes in through an 8 to 48V DC pluggable terminal block, which covers 12V and 24V vehicle supplies and 48V cabinet rails. The NUVO-9006E runs fanless from -25°C to 70°C with 35W CPUs, or to 50°C with a 65W CPU at full TDP, and is tested to MIL-STD-810H for vibration and shock. It measures 240 x 225 x 90 mm, weighs 3.58 kg and wall-mounts as standard, with DIN-rail mounting optional. For a different expansion mix, compare the NUVO-9006DE and NUVO-9006P.

If the NUVO-9006E is close but not quite right, the NUVO-9200VTC adds PoE+ and PCIe expansion in a vehicle-focused design. The NUVO-11000 carries the same Cassette idea onto Intel Core Ultra 200S, and the NUVO-9501 keeps Intel 14th/13th/12th Gen Core compute in a small box without a Cassette. For washdown areas, the SEMIL-2000 series uses the same processor generations in an IP69K stainless enclosure.
Beyond the Neousys range, the NUVO-9006E sits alongside other rugged embedded computers we stock for factory, transport and outdoor installs, where shock, vibration and wide temperature ranges are part of the installation. Cassette builds suit projects where a specific card is already chosen and the computer has to fit around it without moving to a larger expansion box.
