FCCPB-9250J-110V Overview
Rolling stock power is rarely clean: the supply can drop for a moment as a train passes a level crossing or a set of points, and an onboard computer that browns out can lose data or reboot. The Neousys PB-9250J-110V is a railway UPS built for that supply, accepting 43 to 160 V DC so it runs directly from a nominal 110 V train battery line.
Eight 370 F, 3.0 V supercapacitors store 9250 W·s and feed a regulated 24 V DC output at up to 120 W, carrying the protected equipment from seconds to minutes depending on its load. Neousys CAP energy management monitors the energy and power draw in real time, protects against high and low voltage and starts an automatic or manual shutdown before the energy runs out.
Both power connections use pluggable three-pin terminal blocks. A DB9 port carries isolated three-wire RS-232, and an isolated 10-pin terminal block provides an ATX pulse-type PWR_BTN# output, an AT level-type power output, a discharging alert and a SYS_STAT input, so the PB-9250J-110V can shut down either type of PC and report its state to the train systems.
It is designed to all mandatory sections of EN 50155:2017 with OT4 operation from -40 to 70 °C, and to EN 45545-2 for fire protection, with IEC 61373 Category 1 Class B shock and vibration. The module measures 110 x 175.2 x 128.2 mm, weighs 2.33 kg and mounts on DIN rail, with an optional vertical wall-mount kit. For 12 to 35 V DC sites, see the PB-9250J-SA.
