Neousys PCIe-GL26-JXN16 Jetson Xavier NX 16GB AI-Enabled Frame Grabber Card with 6x GMSL2 Cameras

The PCIe-GL26-JXN16 is the 16GB build in the Neousys PCIe-GL26 series, an AI frame grabber card with an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX 16GB module, six GMSL2 inputs on FAKRA Z connectors and a PCIe x2 Gen3 host link. It suits ADAS and autonomous vehicle computers that fuse camera and LiDAR data.

  • Jetson Xavier NX 16GB: The onboard module pairs a Volta GPU and Carmel CPU with 16GB LPDDR4x at 1866 MHz, running JetPack on the card itself.
  • Six GMSL2 Inputs: Six 3 Gbps GMSL2 ports on FAKRA Z connectors take automotive cameras, with a pre-installed driver for selected models.
  • Synchronised Capture: Six cameras are captured within microseconds of channel-to-channel skew, and a GPS PPS input aligns frames with LiDAR or another card.
  • PCIe x2 Gen3 Host Link: A Gen3 x2 interface gives 10 Gb/s total bandwidth to the x86 host, and up to four cards fit one host.
  • Vehicle I/O on the Card: One isolated CAN 2.0 port and one RS-232 port sit alongside an M.2 2242 socket for an NVMe SSD.

PCIe-GL26-JXN16 Overview

Vehicle perception systems often run on x86 computers that have no native input for automotive cameras, and processing six HDR streams adds load to a host that is already busy. The PCIe-GL26-JXN16 addresses both. It is the 16GB build in the Neousys PCIe-GL26 series, an AI frame grabber card that carries its own NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX module and six GMSL2 inputs on one half-length PCIe card.

The six GMSL2 ports run at 3 Gbps each on FAKRA Z connectors. Neousys ships a pre-installed GMSL2 driver for selected cameras, with video streaming sample code for the host. The card connects to the host over Gen3 PCI Express x2, which Neousys rates at 10 Gb/s total bandwidth, and a host can take up to four cards for 24 camera streams. Capture across all six inputs happens within microseconds of channel-to-channel skew.

The onboard Jetson Xavier NX 16GB combines a Volta GPU and Carmel CPU with 16GB LPDDR4x at 1866 MHz in 20W TDP mode and 16GB of eMMC 5.1, bundled with JetPack. Neousys rates the PCIe-GL26 series at 21 TOPS with up to 22 streams of 1080p30 encoding, so the card can pre-process and fuse sensor data before it reaches the host. A GPS PPS input aligns frames with LiDAR, and the card adds one isolated CAN 2.0 and one RS-232 port. The PCIe-GL26-JXN8 uses the 8GB module, and the PCIe-NPL54 captures four GMSL2 streams without a Jetson module. Our white paper on GMSL technology covers the link itself.

The card operates from -25 to 60 °C with airflow; below 0 °C or above 60 °C it needs a wide-temperature NVMe SSD in the M.2 2242 M key socket (PCIe Gen3 x1). Storage temperature is -40 to 85 °C and humidity 10 to 90% non-condensing. It measures 167.7 x 111 mm, weighs 0.43 kg and fits a single standard-height slot. Development ports include Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0, micro USB OTG, a 4K60 DisplayPort and a 12 V DC input for development only. It carries CE and FCC Class A to EN 55032/55035.

Official Neousys UK Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Neousys UK distributor, supplying the PCIe-GL26-JXN16 for UK autonomous vehicle and ADAS programmes. Within the Neousys range the PCIe-NPL54 is a fanless four-input GMSL2 card for hosts that run inference themselves, and the PCIe-NX154 series puts a Jetson Orin NX module behind four PoE+ ports.

With six GMSL2 inputs and its own Jetson module, the PCIe-GL26-JXN16 sits among our GMSL2 frame grabbers, our frame grabber cards and our PCIe video capture cards. Where a vehicle computer needs six synchronised cameras and the larger module memory, this is the build to specify.
