Neousys PCIe-PoE464at Fanless 4-Port 5GBASE-T 802.3at PoE+ Frame Grabber Card

The PCIe-PoE464at is Neousys's fanless PoE+ frame grabber card with four 5GBASE-T ports, each on its own Realtek RTL8126 controller, up to 25.5 W of 802.3at per port and a Gen3 PCIe x4 host link. It suits high-resolution AOI and multi-camera inspection using 5G industrial cameras.

  • Four 5GBASE-T Ports: Four Realtek RTL8126 controllers give each port 5 Gb/s, with fallback to 2.5G, 1G, 100M and 10M links.
  • 802.3at PoE+ per Port: Each port delivers up to 25.5 W, so 5G industrial cameras run without separate power adapters.
  • PTP and 802.1AS Timing: IEEE 1588 PTP v1/v2 and IEEE 802.1AS keep image capture, inspection timing and motion axes in step.
  • Fanless Heat Spreader: A heat spreader cools the card without a fan and helps prevent bracket bending over long-term operation.
  • Gen3 PCIe x4 Host Link: A Gen3 x4 interface carries the four 5G camera streams, with jumbo frames up to 16 KB.

PCIe-PoE464at Overview

5GBASE-T industrial cameras bring higher resolution to inspection lines, but they need a card with the bandwidth, power and timing to match, over cable runs long enough for a factory layout. The PCIe-PoE464at is Neousys’s fanless PoE+ frame grabber card for 5G machine vision, with four camera ports that each carry data and 802.3at power over up to 100 metres of standard cable.

Four Realtek RTL8126 controllers, one per port, give 5 Gb/s on each RJ45 connector, and the ports also link at 2.5G, 1G, 100M and 10M for mixed or migrating camera fleets. Network support covers 5G/2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-Te, with jumbo frames up to 16 KB. Cable runs reach 100 metres over CAT-5e or CAT-6. The card connects to the host through Gen3 PCI Express x4.

Each port delivers up to 25.5 W under IEEE 802.3at-2009, with per-port PoE+ on/off control, so cameras need no external adapters. IEEE 1588 PTP v1/v2 and IEEE 802.1AS time synchronisation keep image capture, inspection timing and motion axes aligned; our white paper on edge AI beyond 2.5GbE discusses faster links. Neousys names high-resolution AOI, electronics assembly inspection, AI-based defect detection and high-speed logistics imaging. The PCIe-PoE550X offers two 10GbE PoE+ ports, and the PCIe-PoE354at covers four Gigabit cameras.

Power comes from the PCIe gold finger connector, at a maximum of 5.5 A at 12 V (66 W). The card runs fanless, using a heat spreader to dissipate heat and help prevent bracket bending during long-term operation, and operates from 0 to 55 °C with airflow in the chassis. It measures 167.7 x 111.2 mm. EMC compliance is CE Class A to EN 55032/55035 and FCC Class A to Part 15, Subpart B. We fit the card to inspection systems we build, or supply it for integration into your own.

Official Neousys UK Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Neousys UK distributor, supplying the PCIe-PoE464at for UK machine vision and electronics inspection programmes. Within the Neousys range the PCIe-550X series runs two 10GbE ports with or without PoE+, and the PCIe-PoE-at series covers Gigabit PoE+ cameras.

With four 5GBASE-T PoE+ ports, the PCIe-PoE464at sits among our PoE+ camera cards, our frame grabber cards and our PCIe expansion cards. Where four 5G cameras need power, PTP timing and fanless cooling, this is the card to specify.
