Nexcom Neu-X101 Intel Celeron J3455 Quad-Core Low-Profile Fanless PC with Dual GbE and 2x HDMI

Behind a retail screen or inside a kiosk there is rarely room for more than a slim box, and it has to stay quiet and cool in a closed space. The Neu-X101 is a Nexcom Low-Profile Fanless PC built for those spots, with an Intel Celeron J3455 in a case 37 mm high. The Neu-X101-6C-DC is its serial-heavy sibling with six COM ports and a 9 V to 24 V input.

The Intel Celeron J3455 is an Apollo Lake processor at up to 2.3 GHz and 10 W, with Intel HD Graphics 500. One DDR3L SO-DIMM socket takes up to 8 GB at 1866 MHz, and an M.2 2242 Key M SSD holds the operating system and content. Windows 10 64-bit and Linux are supported on the Neu-X101.

The front panel carries two GbE ports, two HDMI 1.4b outputs at 3840 x 2160 and 30 Hz, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, a power button and a locking DC jack. The rear adds an RS232/422/485 port and two antenna holes, and an internal RS232 connector with RI, 5 V or 12 V options, line-out and a TPM module connector sit on the board. A full-size mini-PCIe socket with an onboard nano SIM slot takes a Wi-Fi or LTE module, and Nexcom offers AIBooster cards with Intel Movidius Myriad X VPUs for the Neu-X101.

This Low-Profile Fanless PC runs from -5 °C to 50 °C with airflow and is rated to 50 G shock and 2 Grms vibration. Power is 12 V DC with a 60 W adapter included. The aluminium and metal case measures 179.5 x 106 x 37 mm, and the unit carries CE, FCC Class A and LVD approval.
