Nexcom V1100-i3 EPIC SBC with Intel Core i3-1115G4E, Four HDMI 2.0 4K Outputs and 2.5GbE

A kiosk, box office screen or bus stop display often needs several 4K screens from one small board, plus a fast network link and a cellular backhaul where no cable reaches. The V1100-i3 is the Intel Core i3-1115G4E build in the Nexcom V1100 series: an EPIC SBC, 165 x 123 mm, with four HDMI 2.0 outputs and an M.2 socket for a 5G or LTE module.

The onboard Intel Core i3-1115G4E is a dual-core 11th Gen processor at 2.2 GHz with 6 MB cache, and its Intel UHD graphics suit signage playback, kiosk front ends and information displays. Two 260-pin DDR4 non-ECC SO-DIMM sockets run in dual channel and take up to 32 GB. Four HDMI 2.0 outputs each run at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, so one board can drive four 4K displays at once, and a TPM 2.0 chip and watchdog timer are onboard.

I/O covers one Gigabit Ethernet port on an Intel i219-LM and one 2.5GbE port on an Intel i225-V, both with PXE boot and wake on LAN, three USB 3.2 and one USB 2.0 on the edge, four USB 2.0 internally, one RS-232/422/485 and one RS-232 port, 4-in/4-out GPIO and a line-out/mic-in header on a Realtek ALC888S. Storage is an M.2 2280 Key M socket on PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA 3.0, plus a SATA port with power for a 2.5 inch SSD. An M.2 3052 Key B socket takes a 5G or LTE module and a full-size mini-PCIe slot adds another card. The V1100-i5 carries the Intel Core i5-1145G7E, and the V1100-i7 the Intel Core i7-1185G7E.

Power is 12 V DC at 8 A through a 4-pin DC jack, with an internal ATX 4-pin connector as an option. The V1100-i3 operates from 0 to 60 °C, stores from -40 to 80 °C and handles 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing. The board measures 165 x 123 mm in the EPIC form factor, also called an EPIC motherboard, and Windows 10 and Linux are supported. It carries CE approval and an FCC Class A mark.
