X314 Overview
A panel PC or detection camera housing needs a board with enough processing for vision or HMI software, a panel output and a wired 12 V power input. The X314 is Nexcom’s 3.5 inch SBC on a 6th Gen Intel Core Skylake-U processor for that kind of design, with HDMI plus LVDS and a 12 V DC Phoenix Contact terminal.
Nexcom specifies an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 Skylake-U processor at a 15 W TDP with Intel HD Graphics 520, which suits panel PC software, AI detection applications and machine HMIs. One DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB. HDMI 1.4 runs at up to 4096 x 2304 at 24 Hz and dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS drives a built-in panel, so the board runs two displays at once.
I/O covers one Gigabit Ethernet port on an Intel I211-AT controller with PXE boot and wake on LAN, five USB 2.0 ports (dual-stack and vertical connectors on the edge plus a header), 4-in/4-out GPIO, a light sensor connector, a status LED header and a PWM fan connector. Audio is a Realtek ALC886 with mic-in, line-in and line-out headers and a speaker-out with a 3.2 W 4 ohm amplifier. Storage is a SATA III port with SATA power and an M.2 2242 Key B socket for a SATA SSD, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot pairs with a SIM socket on the edge. The X200-i5 moves to an 11th Gen Core i5 with three 4K outputs, and the X102-N97 is the low-power Alder Lake-N option.
Power is 12 V DC on a 2-pin Phoenix Contact terminal, with AT and ATX modes and power and reset buttons on the edge. A watchdog timer is programmable from 1 to 255 seconds or minutes. The X314 operates from 0 to 60 °C, stores from -10 to 70 °C and handles 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing. The board measures 148 x 102 mm, Windows 10 and Linux are supported, and it carries CE and FCC Class A marks.
