NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX Modules with up to 157 TOPS and 260-Pin SO-DIMM

The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX series is a family of system-on-modules with a 1024-core Ampere GPU, Arm Cortex-A78AE CPUs and 128-bit LPDDR5, offered with 8GB or 16GB of memory. The modules share a 260-pin SO-DIMM connector with eight MIPI CSI-2 lanes, PCIe Gen4 and GbE, and reach 117 or 157 TOPS with JetPack 6.2 Super Mode. The Jetson Orin NX series suits robotics, drone, vision and inspection deployments.

  • 1024-Core Ampere GPU: An Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores plus NVDLA acceleration gives 70 or 100 sparse INT8 TOPS, depending on the module.
  • JetPack 6.2 Super Mode: NVIDIA Super Mode raises the modules to 117 or 157 TOPS and adds 40 W and MAXN SUPER power modes.
  • Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU: Six or eight Cortex-A78AE cores at up to 2 GHz with 128-bit LPDDR5 at 102.4 GB/s.
  • 8 CSI Lanes and PCIe Gen4: Eight MIPI CSI-2 lanes, PCIe Gen4 as one x4 and three x1 links, 3x USB 3.2 and GbE reach the carrier.
  • 260-Pin SO-DIMM Connector: The same connector as the Orin Nano modules, so carriers designed for the family can host any of them.

Jetson Orin NX Description

Orin NX designs often start on a developer kit and reach production on a custom or third-party carrier board, at which point the buyer needs a steady supply of one exact module. The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX series covers that step: a 260-pin SO-DIMM module family with PCIe Gen4 and NVDLA acceleration that NVIDIA positions at up to 5x the performance of AGX Xavier and up to 7.5x that of Xavier NX.

Each Jetson Orin NX module uses a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores, Arm Cortex-A78AE CPUs at up to 2 GHz, NVDLA deep learning acceleration and 128-bit LPDDR5 at 102.4 GB/s. The connector carries eight MIPI CSI-2 lanes (D-PHY 2.1), PCIe Gen4 as one x4 and three x1 links, 3x USB 3.2, 3x USB 2.0 and GbE, with one shared HDMI 2.1, eDP 1.4 or DisplayPort 1.4a output up to 8K30. There is no eMMC, so the OS runs from NVMe on the carrier. JetPack 6.2 adds NVIDIA’s Super Mode, with 40 W and MAXN SUPER power modes and higher TOPS, where the thermal design allows.

The range has two modules. The Jetson Orin NX 8GB Module has six CPU cores, one NVDLA and 8 GB of memory for 70 TOPS at 10 W to 20 W, or 117 TOPS under Super Mode. The Jetson Orin NX 16GB Module has eight CPU cores, two NVDLA engines and 16 GB for 100 TOPS at 10 W to 25 W, or 157 TOPS under Super Mode. Because both share the SO-DIMM connector with the Orin Nano modules, NVIDIA’s reference carrier accepts all of them.

Jetson Orin NX modules are common in autonomous robots, drones, smart cameras and inspection systems, where a small module needs multi-camera inference, sensor fusion and path planning at a modest power budget. The module is rated for a junction temperature of -25 to 105 °C, with a 5 to 20 V input. NVIDIA lists the Jetson Orin NX 8GB and 16GB as available through January 2032, which makes the Jetson Orin NX series the usual migration path for Xavier NX designs that NVIDIA lists through July 2027.

NVIDIA Jetson Modules

We supply NVIDIA Jetson modules fitted, imaged and tested in a carrier board or system as standard, as well as sourcing modules for production runs and last-time-buy needs. The Jetson Orin NX modules are part of our NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX range, next to the Jetson Orin Nano modules on the same connector and the Jetson AGX Orin modules for more memory and 10GbE.

Carriers for the modules are listed as Jetson Orin NX carrier boards, many of which also take Orin Nano, within the wider Jetson Orin carrier boards range.
