Premio CT-DWL01-8145UE 3.5″ SBC with Intel Core i3-8145UE, Four Serial Ports and -40 to 70 °C

Outdoor cabinets, roadside enclosures and unheated buildings need a board that starts in the cold, talks to serial equipment and still has the processing to run a local interface. The CT-DWL01-8145UE is the Core i3-8145UE build in the Premio CT-DWL01 series: a 3.5 inch SBC rated from -40 to 70 °C, with an onboard 8th Gen Intel processor, four serial ports and four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports.

The Intel Core i3-8145UE is a Whiskey Lake UE processor with 4 MB cache at up to 3.9 GHz in a 15 W envelope, and it suits HMI, signage and gateway designs with moderate loads. One DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32 GB. Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives a DisplayPort 1.2 output and a dual-channel 24-bit LVDS header, with eDP 1.4 as an option, and an HDMI 1.4 output is available as an option for triple display.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Intel I219LM and I210-IT controllers support Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports sit at the rear, with two USB 2.0, four RS-232/422/485 ports, two 4-bit DIO and front panel audio on internal headers, so serial meters, PLCs and scanners connect directly. Two SATA 6 Gb/s ports with power connectors take drives, and two Mini PCIe x1 (Gen3) slots with SIM support take cellular or wireless modules. Within the series, the CT-DWL01-4305UE carries the Intel Celeron 4305UE and the CT-DWL01-8365UE carries the Intel Core i5-8365UE.

Power is 12 V DC in AT or ATX mode on a 4-pin CPU P4 connector, with ACPI power management. TPM 2.0 comes through an Infineon SLB9665TT2.0 or equivalent, and a software watchdog resets the system after 1 to 255 seconds. The board operates from -40 to 70 °C, stores from -40 to 85 °C and handles 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing. It measures 146 x 102 mm and ships with a heat sink. Windows 10 64-bit (RS5 or above) and Linux kernel 5.x, including Fedora 30 or above and Ubuntu 19.04 or above, are supported.
