Sintrones IMB-600 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX Mini-ITX Edge AI Developer Kits
The Sintrones IMB-600 series is a family of Mini-ITX edge AI developer kits built on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX system-on-module, with PCIe 4.0 M.2 expansion, 2.5GbE and GbE networking, CAN FD and an 8-lane MIPI CSI-2 camera interface, plus a 9-60V DC input with ignition sensing. The IMB-600 series suits machine vision benches, in-vehicle AI prototypes and edge inference pilot deployments.
- NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX Compute: Every kit carries a Jetson Orin NX system-on-module running JetPack 6.2 on Linux, with PCIe 4.0 connectivity to the carrier board’s M.2 storage slot.
- Mini-ITX Development Footprint: The 170mm x 170mm aluminium build weighs 0.9kg and drops into standard Mini-ITX mounting for bench, rig and prototype-vehicle work.
- Three M.2 Slots Plus mPCIe: An M-key PCIe x4 Gen4 2280 slot takes NVMe storage, with B-key, E-key and full-size mPCIe for optional 4G/5G, GPS/GLONASS and WiFi/Bluetooth modules.
- Vehicle-Grade I/O Set: CAN FD, RS232/422/485, 4-in/4-out digital I/O and dual LAN on 2.5GbE and GbE let prototypes talk to vehicle and machine networks directly.
- 9-60V DC with Ignition Sensing: Wide-range terminal-block power, AT/ATX modes, ignition control and fanless operation from -25°C to 50°C mirror the conditions a deployed system will face.

IMB-600 Description
Most edge AI projects do not stall at the model stage; they stall in the gap between a desktop development board and the vehicle-grade system the model eventually ships on. The Sintrones IMB-600 series closes that gap with a family of Mini-ITX edge AI developer kits that put the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX system-on-module on a 170mm x 170mm carrier with the wide-range power, ignition sensing and vehicle I/O of a deployment system. Teams prototype against the interfaces they will deploy with, rather than discovering integration problems after the enclosure has been specified.
The architecture is shared across the IMB-600 range. Expansion runs through three M.2 slots: an M-key 2280 slot with four lanes of PCIe Gen4 for NVMe storage, plus B-key 3042/3052 and E-key 2230 slots joined by a full-size mPCIe socket, so optional 4G/5G, GPS/GLONASS and WiFi/Bluetooth modules fit without external adapters. Networking pairs a 2.5GbE port with a GbE port, both on Intel I226 controllers, alongside two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 Type-C port and an HDMI output. For sensors and machine interfaces, each board carries an 8-lane MIPI CSI-2 camera connector, CAN FD, an RS232/422/485 serial port and 4-in/4-out digital I/O, all running JetPack 6.2 on Linux.
Four configurations cover the range. The IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT pairs the Orin NX 16GB module with the low-profile 35.4mm build, while the IMB-600-ONX8-DEV-KIT offers the same board with the Orin NX 8GB module for workloads that fit a smaller memory budget. The Plus kits, IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT-PLUS and IMB-600-ONX8-DEV-KIT-PLUS, add four GMSL-2 automotive camera inputs on FAKRA-Z connectors, raising the build to 59.4mm and bringing multi-camera capture to the development bench.
Across the IMB-600 series, the power and environmental envelope reads like deployment hardware rather than a desk accessory: 9-60V DC input on a terminal block, AT and ATX power modes, ignition control, and fanless operation from -25°C to 50°C in an aluminium build weighing 0.9kg, with CE, FCC and UKCA marks. That makes the IMB-600 kits a practical first stage for machine vision, in-vehicle AI and edge inference projects, where work proven on the bench can move onto sealed and rugged Sintrones systems built around the same Orin NX modules.

Official Sintrones UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Sintrones UK distributor, supplying the IMB-600 developer kits alongside the deployment systems they are designed to feed. Work proven on the kits moves naturally onto the IBOX-600 family, compact fanless edge AI computers built on the same Jetson Orin NX modules. For camera-led projects, the IBOX-601-G2 series carries GMSL-2 camera support into an in-vehicle enclosure, while the IBOX-604-G2 series packages it for weight-sensitive installs such as drones and mobile robots.
Beyond the Sintrones range, the kits sit alongside our rugged Jetson computers for work heading into harsher installs, and the wider set of edge AI computers we configure and support. Vehicle prototypes that mature into fleet rollouts can draw on our in-vehicle computers, while bench work destined for unheated cabinets and plant rooms has a clear path into the wide-temperature computers we supply for the same operating envelope.
