IMB-600-ONX16-DEV KIT Overview
Edge AI development goes faster when the bench hardware matches the electrical reality of the deployment target. The Sintrones IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT is a Mini-ITX edge AI developer kit in the IMB-600 series, carrying the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB system-on-module on a 170mm x 170mm carrier board that runs JetPack 6.2 on Linux and exposes the same vehicle-grade power and I/O as a production system.
The Orin NX 16GB module is the higher-memory option in the range, giving room for larger models and multi-stream pipelines during development rather than forcing early optimisation. PCIe 4.0 runs through the board, and the M-key 2280 slot carries an NVMe SSD on four lanes of Gen4, so recorded sensor data moves at useful speeds. The IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT ships as the low-profile 35.4mm build, which keeps it easy to mount in bench rigs and test enclosures.
Camera work starts at the 8-lane MIPI CSI-2 connector, with an HDMI output for a local display. Networking pairs a 2.5GbE port and a GbE port on Intel I226 controllers, joined by two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. CAN FD and an RS232/422/485 serial port connect the kit to vehicle and machine networks, with 4-in/4-out digital I/O for triggers and interlocks, and B-key, E-key and full-size mPCIe sockets take optional 4G/5G, GPS/GLONASS and WiFi/Bluetooth modules. Projects that need multi-camera automotive capture can step up to the IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT-PLUS, which adds four GMSL-2 inputs on FAKRA-Z connectors.
Power and environment mirror Sintrones deployment hardware: the IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT takes 9-60V DC on a terminal block with AT and ATX modes and ignition control, runs fanless from -25°C to 50°C, and weighs 0.9kg in its aluminium build, with CE, FCC and UKCA marks. Where the workload fits a smaller memory budget, the IMB-600-ONX8-DEV-KIT offers the same board with the Orin NX 8GB module.

Official Sintrones UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Sintrones UK distributor, configuring and supporting the range from development kit to deployed system. When a model proven on the IMB-600-ONX16-DEV-KIT is ready to leave the bench, the IBOX-600 family offers compact fanless deployment systems on the same Orin NX modules, and the sealed IBOX-600-IP66 series carries the same compute into wet and dusty installs.
Beyond Sintrones, our rugged NVIDIA Jetson computers show where Orin NX compute lands in deployable form once a project leaves the bench, and the broader set of edge AI systems we configure and support covers workloads that outgrow a single module. Kits destined for cold plant rooms or outdoor cabinets can also be matched against our extended-temperature computers.
