Sintrones RBOX-1001-M12X Intel Atom x7000RE EN 50155 Railway PC with Optional Hailo AI and 24-110V DC Isolation

Rolling stock leaves little room for a computer: cabinets are shallow, supplies run at up to 110 V DC and every connector has to survive years of vibration. The Sintrones RBOX-1001-M12X is built to that brief, a railway PC 43 mm high that takes rolling stock power directly through a galvanically isolated 24 to 110 V DC input and fits a 1U rack with the optional kit.

Compute is an Intel Atom x7835RE with eight cores up to 3.6 GHz or an Atom x7433RE with four cores up to 3.4 GHz, with up to 16 GB of DDR5-4800 on one SO-DIMM, Intel UHD Graphics and TPM 2.0. One of the two M.2 2280 slots can take a Hailo AI accelerator of up to 26 TOPS, so the RBOX-1001-M12X can run passenger monitoring or obstacle detection on board, while the other holds an NVMe or SATA SSD. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS are supported.

Networking is two Intel I226-IT 2.5GbE ports on M12 X-coded connectors, whose screw-lock retention holds under vibration, with power on an M12 K-coded connector. The front panel adds two RS-232/422/485 ports, eight digital inputs and four outputs, two USB 3.2 and two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI output at up to 3840 x 2160 and a line-out. An M.2 Key B slot takes 4G or 5G with dual nano SIM and an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The RBOX-1001-M12X runs fanless from -40 °C to 75 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, is tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration and carries EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 (R25) compliance, with ignition detection and over-current, over-voltage, surge and reverse-polarity protection. A removable top cover gives access to the RTC battery and expansion slots, which keeps maintenance quick in a depot. Sintrones offers it with wall brackets or a 1U rackmount kit for wayside and on-train cabinets.
