Sintrones VBOX-3132 Intel Atom x7000RE Amston Lake DIN Rail Computers with PoE

Traffic and transport cabinets rarely have spare DIN rail: the PoE switch, recorder and modem each take a slot and a supply. The Sintrones VBOX-3132 series puts those jobs into compact DIN rail computers on Intel Atom x7000RE processors, with four PoE camera ports, a 2.5GbE uplink, CAN FD and two NVMe drives in one fanless 150 x 150 mm unit.

Compute is an Intel Atom x7835RE with eight cores up to 3.6 GHz or an Atom x7433RE with four cores up to 3.4 GHz, with up to 16 GB of DDR5 on one SO-DIMM, Intel UHD Graphics and TPM 2.0. Four GbE ports from a Marvell Ethernet switch deliver PoE at up to 15 W per port (PSE Class 3) from a 60 W budget, sharing a 1GbE link, and an Intel I226-IT 2.5GbE port carries the uplink. Two M.2 2280 SSD slots keep the operating system apart from recorded video, while an M.2 Key B slot takes 4G or 5G with dual nano SIM and an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi.

Two versions differ by connector. The VBOX-3132P has its PoE and 2.5GbE ports on RJ45 in a 150 x 150 x 65 mm unit weighing 1.5 kg, for fixed cabinets. The VBOX-3132P-M12X moves the same ports to screw-locking M12 X-coded connectors in a 150 x 150 x 87 mm unit weighing 1.79 kg, for vehicles and rolling stock where vibration can unseat RJ45 plugs.

Both versions share one CAN FD port, two RS-232/422/485 ports with four more as an option, eight digital inputs and four outputs, two USB 3.2 and two USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI output at up to 4K. Power is 9 to 60 V DC with ignition detection and smart power management, with 24 V or higher recommended for PoE. The VBOX-3132 series runs fanless from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, mounts on DIN rail or a wall, is tested to MIL-STD-810H and carries EN 50155, EN 45545-2 (R25), E-Mark, UKCA, CE and FCC Class A compliance, which suits these Sintrones DIN rail computers to roadside, depot and on-board cabinets.
