Sintrones SBOX-2624 AMD Ryzen Embedded R2312 Embedded Box PCs with EN 50155 Compliance

Many small edge jobs share the same shape: a few cameras or serial devices, a link back to the site network and a cabinet with little room or cooling. The Sintrones SBOX-2624 series covers that ground with two fanless embedded box PCs on the AMD Ryzen Embedded R2312, one built around serial ports and one around PoE, both in a 150 x 150 x 65 mm aluminium enclosure. Both share the same processor, memory, storage and power design, so software built for one runs on the other.

The Ryzen Embedded R2312 has two cores and four threads with AMD Radeon Graphics, supporting up to 32 GB of DDR4-2400 on one SO-DIMM with ECC support and TPM 2.0. Two HDMI 2.0b outputs run at up to 4K at 60 Hz, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports handle peripherals, and four digital inputs and four outputs take machine signals. An M.2 2280 slot holds an NVMe or SATA SSD, an M.2 Key B slot takes 4G or 5G and an M.2 Key E slot takes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Two versions differ by I/O. The SBOX-2624 has one 2.5GbE and one GbE port, two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-232 ports and a 2.5-inch SATA bay, for serial-heavy data collection. The SBOX-2624P has four GbE ports with PoE at up to 15 W each from a 60 W budget plus one 2.5GbE port and four COM ports, for small camera and sensor networks. Its four PoE ports share a 1GbE link through a Marvell switch, which suits camera and sensor counts rather than heavy bulk transfers.

Both versions take 9 to 36 V DC (nominal 12 V or 24 V) and support Windows 10 and 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04 LTS. The SBOX-2624 series runs from -30 °C to 60 °C with an SSD and 0.6 m/s airflow, weighs 1.5 kg and carries EN 50155 with EN 50121-3-2 EMC compliance, plus UKCA, CE and FCC Class A, which suits these Sintrones embedded box PCs to rail, factory and building gateways where the cabinet is small and cooling is limited.
