Vecow ICS-2000 AMD EPYC 8004 Siena Edge AI Servers with Dual PCIe 5.0 x16 GPU Slots and U.2 Storage

Edge AI projects are moving from single accelerators to pairs of large graphics cards, with datasets that need to sit on fast local storage. Few systems that run on vehicle DC power offer that, and fewer still add the remote management a data centre would expect. The Vecow ICS-2000 series does: two edge AI servers on an AMD EPYC 8004 Siena processor, with PCIe 5.0 slots for two GPUs and front-access U.2 storage.

Both models run the AMD EPYC 8224P, with 24 cores, 48 threads and 160 W TDP, and other CPU models are subject to confirmation with Vecow. Six DDR5 4800 RDIMM sockets take up to 768 GB. Two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots share an 1800 W power budget for two 2-slot graphics cards at up to 900 W each, and four more slots run PCIe 5.0 x8 for capture, network or storage cards. Storage is four front-access U.2 trays on PCIe x4 and four M.2 M key sockets on PCIe 4.0 x4. An AST2600 BMC with IPMI and Redfish sits on its own management LAN beside two GbE ports, and Vecow lists Windows Server and Linux.

The ICS-2000 runs from 16 to 50 V DC on a terminal block and operates from -25 °C to 45 °C, which suits vehicles, rolling stock and remote cabinets on DC supplies, where it can share a supply with the rest of the equipment. The ICS-2000A has an internal 90 to 240 V AC supply rated at 2200 W at 220 V, with higher ratings by request, and operates from -5 °C to 45 °C for control rooms and site cabinets on mains power. The two models share the same processor, memory, slot layout and storage, so software and GPUs move between them unchanged.

Both ICS-2000 edge AI servers carry 16-mode software ignition control, a remote switch, five COM ports, 16 isolated DIO, DisplayPort, three nano SIM sockets and M.2 and mini PCIe sockets for optional 5G, 4G and Wi-Fi. They are fan-cooled, rated to MIL-STD-810G for shock and vibration, and listed for CE and FCC, with EMC to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 requirements, which suits ICS-2000 deployments on rolling stock as well as in fixed cabinets.
