Vecow SPC-6000 Intel Atom x6425RE EN 50155 Wide Temperature Embedded Computer with 2.5GbE

Roadside cabinets, outdoor kiosks and unheated plant rooms test a computer on temperature more than on processing. The Vecow SPC-6000 is a wide temperature embedded computer for those places, running a quad-core Intel Atom x6425RE without a fan from -40°C to 70°C in an enclosure of 106.2 x 150.4 x 67.0 mm.

The Intel Atom x6425RE belongs to the Elkhart Lake family and works with one DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM slot for up to 32 GB, under Windows 10 or Linux. That suits traffic vision gateways, robotic control, retail terminals and factory data collection where a Core processor would be more than the job needs. Intel UHD Graphics drive DVI-I at up to 3840 x 2160 and DisplayPort at up to 4096 x 2160, so the SPC-6000 can run a local display at 4K.

An Intel I225 2.5GbE port supports Time Coordinated Computing and Time-Sensitive Networking for real-time synchronisation, and an Intel I210 GbE port separates a second network. Four RS-232/422/485 ports with 8 kV ESD protection, two USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports connect field devices. Storage runs on an M.2 Key M 2280 socket, while an external nano SIM socket, M.2 Key B for 5G or 4G and M.2 Key E for Wi-Fi add wireless links. TPM 2.0 is fitted.

The SPC-6000 takes a 12 V DC input through a terminal block. Shock and vibration are tested to IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-64, and Vecow lists EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 EMC compliance. It weighs 1.4 kg and mounts on a wall bracket or an optional DIN rail. For the same processor with a built-in Ethernet switch, the ESP-1000 adds eight switched ports.
