Sunlight and strong overhead lighting are hard on a conventional LCD, because the backlight has to compete with everything falling on the glass. A transflective panel reflects part of that ambient light back through the image instead. The R08L200-OFU1TR is Winmate’s 8.4 inch open frame transflective monitor: an 800 x 600 LCD at 600 nits with 600:1 contrast, in a metal frame built to sit inside your own enclosure.
The panel shows 262,000 colours across an active area of 170.4 x 127.8 mm, with viewing angles of 150° horizontally and 130° vertically. Touch is specified to suit the job: resistive touch for gloves and styluses, SAW touch for a clear glass surface, or protection glass without touch for display-only use such as status and information screens.
VGA is the standard video input, with HDMI and DVI available as options, and a USB port carries the touch signal to the host. An optional 3.5 mm audio line-in with twin speakers adds sound, and a five-key OSD panel on the rear sets brightness and picture. Where the screen stays indoors, the R08L200-OFU1 offers the same 8.4 inch format with a standard panel, and the S17L500-OFA1TR brings the transflective approach to a 17 inch SXGA screen.
The R08L200-OFU1TR runs from 12 V DC and ships with a 100 to 240 V AC to DC adapter. It is fanless, operates from 0 °C to 50 °C and 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, and stores from -10 °C to 60 °C. The frame measures 251 x 174 x 49 mm, with 75 x 75 mm VESA holes, and can also be fixed as a panel mount. It carries CE and FCC marks. Winmate lists industrial visualisation, control rooms and equipment monitoring as typical uses.
