12G-QSDI to HDMI2.0-S Overview
Monitoring 4K SDI feeds on HDMI screens is a routine job in galleries, outside broadcast trucks and post facilities, but the source may arrive as 12G-SDI on one cable or as dual or quad-link SDI on several. The Yuan 12G-QSDI to HDMI2.0-S is an SDI to HDMI converter that accepts all three and scales the result to suit the display.
Inputs are one 12G-SDI, one 6G-SDI and two 3G-SDI connections, supporting single-link 12G-SDI, dual-link 6G-SDI and quad-link 3G-SDI in two-sample interleave or square division. It accepts 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at 60/50 fps, 4K30 over 6G-SDI and HD formats down to 720p. The HDMI 2.0 output is scaled up or down from 4K60 to 480i and 576i. A 12G-SDI loop-through repeats the input, and a stereo jack outputs two channels of de-embedded audio. SDI and HDMI embedded audio run at up to eight channels, 24-bit, 48 kHz.
The 12G-QSDI to HDMI2.0-S runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input with auto source format detection. If you need two HDMI outputs and no scaling, the 12G-QSDI to HDMI2.0 is the fixed-format version. For single-link 12G-SDI only, the 12G-SDI to HDMI2.0 adds two SDI outputs.
