HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI Overview
Bringing a 4K HDMI source into an SDI system usually means losing the local HDMI view unless you add a splitter. The Yuan HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI is an HDMI to SDI converter that outputs 12G-SDI and quad-link SDI while looping the HDMI 2.0 signal through, which suits broadcast, live production and pro AV rooms with mixed SDI generations.
Input is one HDMI 2.0 port accepting 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at 60/50 and 30/25/24 fps, plus 1080p, 1080i and 720p. Outputs are one 12G-SDI and three 6G-SDI, which carry single-link 12G-SDI or quad-link SDI in two-sample interleave, plus one HDMI 2.0 loop-through. SDI and HDMI outputs follow the input format without scaling. Audio is eight channels, 24-bit, embedded into SDI at 48 kHz.
The HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI has auto source format detection and runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. If you need scaling, the HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI-S adds up/down conversion and analogue audio input. For the return path, the 12G-QSDI to HDMI2.0 converts 12G or quad-link SDI back to two HDMI 2.0 outputs.
