HDMI2.0 to 12G-SDI Overview
4K cameras, media players and graphics PCs mostly output HDMI 2.0, while broadcast and live production systems route 12G-SDI over longer cable runs. The Yuan HDMI2.0 to 12G-SDI is an HDMI to SDI converter with two 12G-SDI outputs, so one source can feed a router and a monitor while an HDMI output stays local.
Input is one HDMI 2.0 port accepting 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at 60/50 and 30/25/24 fps, plus 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480i and 576i. Outputs are two 12G-SDI and one HDMI 2.0, following the input format without scaling. SDI output covers 12G, 6G, 3G, HD and SD-SDI. HDMI audio of eight channels, 24-bit, up to 192 kHz is embedded into SDI at eight channels, 48 kHz.
The HDMI2.0 to 12G-SDI has auto source format detection and runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. For SDI systems that use quad-link, the HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI outputs 12G and quad-link SDI. To bring 12G-SDI back to HDMI 2.0, the 12G-SDI to HDMI2.0 is the matching converter.
