Multi 4K to Holoscan Sensor Bridge Overview
Edge AI systems built on NVIDIA Holoscan often take video from more than one kind of source: a PC on DisplayPort, an imaging system on DVI, a camera on SDI. The Multi 4K to Holoscan Sensor Bridge from Yuan is designed for that mixed-source job. It converts HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, DVI or 12G-SDI into Holoscan Sensor Bridge output, while keeping local outputs for monitoring.
Inputs are one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.2 with MST and SST support, one dual-link DVI-D, and a 12G-SDI input that also takes dual-link and quad-link SDI with two-sample interleave. HDMI and DisplayPort run up to 3840 x 2160p60/50, DVI up to 2560 x 1600p60/50, and SDI covers 12G and 6G-SDI at 2160p, 3G-SDI at 1080p60 and HD-SDI. Outputs are one Holoscan Sensor Bridge channel on an SFP+ fibre cage, one HDMI 2.0 output in the input format, and two converted 12G-SDI outputs.
The source format is detected automatically, the unit is plug and play, and power comes from a 12V DC input. For HDMI and SDI sources only, the HDMI2.0 / 12G-SDI to Holoscan Sensor Bridge is a smaller fanless option. Without the Holoscan output, the Multi Converter 4K accepts a similar mix of 4K inputs and converts them to 12G-SDI.
In practice the Multi 4K to Holoscan Sensor Bridge sits beside the source equipment, with fibre to the Holoscan system and a local monitor on the HDMI or SDI outputs. We supply it configured and tested with the sources, displays, fibre and processing system it will connect to.
