The PD576 HDMI20 HDR is Yuan's USB HDMI frame grabber for HDMI 2.0, taking 4K60 with 10-bit HDR and outputting MJPEG at 4K60 over USB 3.0 Type-C, with a USB 2.0 link for keyboard and mouse transfer to the target PC. It suits portable capture kits and laptops recording an HDMI source.

  • HDMI 2.0 Input: One HDMI 2.0 input accepts 3840 x 2160 at 60/50 fps, with 1920 x 1080 at 240 fps listed among input modes.
  • HDR Capture: 422 10-bit and 444 8-bit HDR input, with P010 output at 1080p60 and below for 10-bit recording.
  • USB 3.0 Type-C UVC: UVC output over USB 3.0 Type-C gives MJPEG at 4K60 and NV12 or I420 at 4K30 and 1080p120.
  • Keyboard and Mouse Transfer: A USB 2.0 link passes keyboard and mouse signals to the target PC, so one laptop can capture and control the source.

PD576 HDMI20 HDR Overview

Field engineers and support staff often need to capture a machine’s HDMI output on a laptop, without carrying a desktop-sized capture unit. The PD576 HDMI20 HDR is Yuan’s USB HDMI frame grabber for that job, taking one HDMI 2.0 input at up to 4K60 over USB 3.0 Type-C, with a USB 2.0 link for keyboard and mouse transfer to the target PC. It can be a good fit for portable test, service and training kits.

The input accepts 3840 x 2160 at 60/50 fps, and Yuan lists 1920 x 1080 at 240 fps among its input modes, with 422 10-bit and 444 8-bit HDR. Over USB 3.0 the frame grabber outputs MJPEG at 4K60/50, NV12, I420 and MJPEG at 4K30, 1440p60 and 1080p120, and YUY2 and P010 at 1080p60 and below. On a USB 2.0 port MJPEG reaches 1080p60. Audio comes from HDMI embedded audio or an analogue stereo input at 16-bit, 48 kHz.

The host link is USB 3.0 Type-C as a UVC device. There is no video output and no hardware encoder, so the unit stays simple to carry and set up. In the same USB range, the UB576G HDMI2.0 HDR HID adds an HDMI 2.0 loop-through and 1440p144 input, and the PD570 PRO HDMI2.0 HDR is another compact HDMI 2.0 unit capturing at 4K60.

Yuan lists Windows 11, Linux and macOS support. We supply the PD576 HDMI20 HDR tested with the host computer it will run on, with drivers and capture software installed, so it is ready to record when it arrives.
