A control room PC or small rackmount recorder may need to capture an SDI camera one week and a DVI or analogue source the next, and slim chassis only take low profile cards. The SC400N1-L AIO is Yuan’s low profile PCIe HDMI, SDI and DVI video capture card for that mix, with SDI and DVI-I connectors on one 96 x 68.9 mm card.
The card has a single capture channel and accepts up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps. Yuan lists SDI, HDMI, DVI-I, YPbPr, CVBS and S-Video among the signals it accepts, so one card covers digital and analogue equipment. Audio arrives as one stereo embedded channel. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2, and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software can take frames in the format it already uses.
The card runs PCIe x1 Gen2 and adds 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing, and the card captures VANC data alongside video and audio. There is no hardware encoder, so any compression runs in software on the host. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 software; Yuan’s compatibility list names vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting. The SC400N1-L HDAV takes HDMI, CVBS and S-Video on a low profile card, and the SC400N2-L SDI captures two SDI feeds with loop-through outputs.
Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support for systems that run more than one capture session or card. Yuan lists the card as low profile PCIe, and it fits compact desktop and rackmount chassis.
