PCI ExpressSC400N1-L HDV Overview
Upgrading the recorder on older equipment often means capturing whatever the machine already outputs, from VGA and component to composite. The SC400N1-L HDV is Yuan’s low profile PCIe capture card for those mixed sources, with DVI-I, YPbPr, S-Video and composite inputs at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps. It is a good fit for inspection, monitoring and archive systems where one channel takes whichever source is connected.
HDMI, VGA and YPbPr run from 1080p60 down through 720p and PC resolutions to SD, with more resolutions available through the SDK, and S-Video and composite capture 480i and 576i. Capture formats include 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12 plus 10-bit 4:2:0 P010. Audio comes from the embedded stereo input, a pair of RCA connectors carrying left and right through the YPbPr cable, or a line-in pin header on the PCB.
It connects over PCIe x1 Gen2, and loop-through outputs on DVI-I, YPbPr, S-Video and composite are optional. Hardware cropping and scaling, auto signal detection and a deinterlace engine run on the card, which also carries 16 GPIO and a watchdog and supports multiple instances and multiple cards. YUAN provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and vMix, OBS and other DirectShow or V4L2 software is supported. The SC400N1-L DVI / CVBS takes the same input mix without the loop-through option or P010, and the SC400N2 HDV captures two mixed-format channels.
Driver support covers Windows 11 and Linux 4.8 or higher, 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply the SC400N1-L HDV fitted and tested in the host system it goes into, with drivers installed and the inputs checked against the sources you plan to use.
