Yuan SC400N2 HDV PCIe HDMI, DVI and VGA Frame Grabber with 2 x DVI-I Inputs at 1080p60

Older equipment rarely uses one video standard: an inspection rig may have a VGA monitor output next to a composite camera, while a newer instrument sends HDMI. The SC400N2 HDV is Yuan’s PCIe frame grabber for mixed sources, with two DVI-I inputs that each accept HDMI, DVI, VGA, YPbPr, S-Video or composite at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps. It is a good fit for recording, monitoring and machine vision hosts that capture two such sources at once.

Over HDMI and DVI each channel captures 1920 x 1200p at 30/25/24 fps and 1080p at 60/50 fps, down through 720p and PC resolutions to SD, with more resolutions available through the SDK. YPbPr runs up to 1080p60, and S-Video and composite capture 480i and 576i. Capture formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12, and each channel has embedded stereo audio at 16-bit, 32 to 48 kHz.

It connects over PCIe x4 Gen2 on a full-height card. Hardware cropping and scaling, auto signal detection and a deinterlace engine run on the card, which also carries 16 GPIO and a watchdog and supports multiple instances and multiple cards. YUAN provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and vMix, OBS and other DirectShow or V4L2 software is supported. The SC550N2 HDV is another two-channel mixed-format card, and the SC400N1-L HDV covers a single channel on a low profile card.

Driver support covers Windows and Linux 4.8 or higher, 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply the SC400N2 HDV fitted and tested in the host system it goes into, with drivers installed and both channels checked against the sources you plan to use.
