PCI ExpressSC400N1-L SDI / HDMI Overview
Broadcast systems often carry timecode, captions or other metadata in the SDI ancillary space, and that data can matter as much as the picture. The SC400N1-L SDI / HDMI is Yuan’s low profile PCIe frame grabber with one HDMI input and one SDI input at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps, capturing video, audio and VANC data. It can suit compact recorders and monitoring hosts that work with an SDI feed or an HDMI source.
SDI covers 3G-SDI at 1080p60/50, HD-SDI at 1080p30/25/24, 1080i and 720p, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. HDMI runs from 1080p60 down through 720p and PC resolutions to 640 x 480 and SD, with more resolutions available through the SDK. Capture formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12, with HDMI and SDI embedded audio at 16-bit, 32 to 48 kHz. There is no video output.
It connects over PCIe x1 Gen2. Hardware cropping and scaling, auto signal detection and a deinterlace engine run on the card, which also carries 16 GPIO and a watchdog and supports multiple instances and multiple cards. YUAN provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and vMix, OBS and other DirectShow or V4L2 software is supported. The SC400N1-L SDI adds an SDI loop-through output for a single SDI source, and the SC400N1-L AIO adds DVI to the HDMI and SDI mix.
Driver support covers Windows and Linux 4.8 or higher, 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply the SC400N1-L SDI / HDMI fitted and tested in the host system it goes into, with drivers installed and both inputs checked before it ships.
