Recording the screen of a computer, medical imaging equipment or a test system usually happens while someone is still using that screen. The capture card has to sit inline without taking the picture away. The SC5C0N1-L HDV is Yuan’s single-channel PCIe HDMI, DVI and VGA video capture card for it, with a DVI-I input, DVI-I and analogue loop-through outputs and 1080p60 capture.
The DVI-I input also takes HDMI, VGA, YPbPr, S-Video and composite. The card captures 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and takes 1920 x 1200 sources at up to 60/50 fps in, captured at 30/25 fps, with computer modes from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 listed. Frames come out as 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 or NV12, from full 4:4:4 colour down to 4:2:0 for lighter encoding and streaming loads. Stereo embedded audio is captured at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.
It uses a PCIe x1 Gen1 slot and supports multiple instances and multiple cards per host, with an H.26X encoder, cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, deinterlacing, 16 GPIO and a watchdog. Development runs on Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, while DirectShow and V4L2 support lets off-the-shelf software including vMix, OBS, Teams and GoToMeeting use it as a video source. The SC5A0N1-L HDV is the 1080p30 card with the same loop-through outputs, and the SC5C0N2 HDV records two DVI-I sources at 1080p60.
On the operating system side Yuan supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux from kernel 2.6.14, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. So the card can sit in a Windows review PC or a Linux or Jetson-based recorder. The board measures 129.92 x 68.91 mm.
