Antaira LMX-1202M-SFP 12-Port Gigabit Managed DIN Rail Switches with 2x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

Plenty of industrial networks are not starting from scratch. A cabinet may hold a row of 10/100 PLCs, meters and remote I/O that work perfectly well, plus a camera or HMI that wants gigabit, and an uplink that has to travel further than copper allows. The Antaira LMX-1202M-SFP series is a family of managed industrial Ethernet switches built for that mix: eight Fast Ethernet ports, two gigabit RJ45 ports and two fibre slots on one DIN rail.

Every LMX-1202M-SFP shares the same design. Eight 10/100TX RJ45 ports serve the field devices, two 10/100/1000T RJ45 ports handle gigabit links, and two dual-rate SFP slots take 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps transceivers, so the fibre type and reach follow the module. Switching is Layer 2 managed and store-and-forward on a 9.6 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS recovers a ring in under 50 ms, alongside STP, RSTP and MSTP, and the firmware covers VLAN, QoS, IGMP v1/v2/v3, port mirroring, RMON and Modbus TCP, with 802.1X, SNMP v3, HTTPS and SSH for secure access. DHCP option 66/67/82 and IPv4/IPv6 are supported too, which helps with automated provisioning on larger sites.

The series offers two temperature grades. The LMX-1202M-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for heated cabinets and indoor control panels. The LMX-1202M-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated outdoor enclosures where a heater is not practical. Both take a 12 to 48 V DC input, draw 15 W and carry a 24 V DC, 1 A relay output that joins e-mail alerts to flag exceptions.

Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance and ITS as the intended applications for the LMX-1202M-SFP series. The IP30 metal housing mounts on a DIN rail or a wall, overload current and reverse polarity protection are built in, and Antaira lists IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C and 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity. Approvals include CE, FCC, RoHS, UL 61010-1, UL Class 1 Division 2 and NEMA TS2, and the series carries Antaira’s 5-year warranty.
