ASRock Industrial iEP-6012E NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB Fanless AI Computers with DIN Mount

Many edge AI tasks, such as counting people, reading a gauge or checking that a part is present, do not need the largest Jetson module, but they still need a computer that survives a control cabinet and runs from the site’s DC supply. The ASRock Industrial iEP-6012E series covers that ground: fanless AI computers built on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8GB, in an ultra-compact case that mounts vertically on a DIN rail or a wall, with a 12 to 36 V DC input protected against 80 V surges, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current and reverse polarity.

All three models pair the Orin Nano 8GB with 8 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5, rated at up to 40 sparse (20 dense) INT8 TOPS and running NVIDIA JetPack 5. Storage is an M.2 M-key 2280 socket for a PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe SSD and a microSD slot, with TPM 2.0 on board. Shared I/O covers one HDMI 1.4 output, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (one locking), two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 port, and two DB15 connectors with four digital inputs, four digital outputs, CAN bus, I2C and SPI. An M.2 E-key socket takes a Wi-Fi module, and a locking USB Type-C PD 20 V input can serve as a backup supply.

The iEP-6012E-000 is the basic model, with two Gigabit LAN ports in a 55 mm wide, 1.3 kg case and an M.2 B-key socket that can hold a second SSD. The iEP-6012E-001 adds two Intel I210AT Gigabit ports with IEEE 802.3af PoE for cameras and sensors. The iEP-6012E-003 uses the M.2 B-key socket for a 5G or 4G LTE module, with a nano SIM slot and up to four cellular and two Wi-Fi antennas. The PoE and 5G models share a 68 mm wide, 1.6 kg case.

ASRock Industrial rates the iEP-6012E series from -25 °C to 60 °C with a wide temperature NVMe SSD, or to 55 °C with a 5G module and 0.5 to 0.8 m/s of airflow. Operating shock is 100 G to IEC 60068-2-27 and random vibration 5 Grms to IEC 60068-2-64, and the units are designed to CE and FCC Class A (EN 61000-6-4 and EN 61000-6-2). These fanless AI computers suit vision inspection, people and vehicle counting, small camera installations and remote monitoring over 5G.
