Axiomtek AIE100-T2NX NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX 4GB Ultra-Compact Embedded Computer with PoE and DIN Mount

Some installations have little spare room: a ticket barrier, a kiosk plinth or a small roadside box. A computer that fits there, powers a camera and still runs a vision model is useful even when the module is not the newest. The AIE100-T2NX is an ultra-compact embedded computer from Axiomtek with an NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX in a 34.6 mm tall fanless housing.

The Jetson TX2 NX combines a dual-core NVIDIA Denver 2 CPU and a quad-core Arm Cortex-A57 MPCore CPU with a 256-core Pascal GPU, rated by Axiomtek at 1.33 TFLOPS. It has 4GB of 128-bit LPDDR4 at 51.2GB/s and boots from 16GB of on-board eMMC. That suits a single vision model per stream, and the ultra-compact embedded computer runs Ubuntu 18.04 with NVIDIA JetPack.

One GbE port comes from the module and an Intel I210-IT GbE port supplies up to 15 W of PoE. HDMI 2.0 supports 4K, and there is one USB 3.2 Gen 1 and one USB 2.0 port. The AIE100-T2NX adds an M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe slot and a microSD slot, and a full-size Mini Card slot with SIM socket and two SMA connectors takes an LTE or Wi-Fi module. Allxon management supports remote monitoring and OTA updates.

Power is 12 V DC through a screw-type connector. The AIE100-T2NX runs fanless from -30 to 60 °C in an IP40 aluminium and steel housing, with an optional IP42 cover kit, IEC 60068 shock and vibration testing, and CE, FCC Class A and UKCA marking, with wall, DIN-rail and VESA kits available. For more AI throughput in the same footprint, the AIE100A-ONX series uses Jetson Orin NX.
